This camp activity is for registered Girl Scouts entering Grades 6-12.
Girl Scouts will read, write, think and dream archeology. Learn how to perform an excavating shovel test, use modern technology to survey historic sites and work alongside UTSA archeologists to uncover Camp La Jita’s 8,000 year-old secrets! This science camp will provide girls with knowledge about professional-grade geospatial positioning systems (GPS) and exposure to today’s software used to process archaeological data. The work completed during this camp session will contribute to real ongoing research and help preserve the site for the use of Girl Scouts!
